The Village are multi-service community centers offering critical and comprehensive services to children, adults, and families in Visitacion Valley. These centers serve all Valley residentsa mostly low income, racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse neighborhood.
The Village members offer culturally competent public programs: childcare, early childhood education, healthcare, counseling, youth development, civil rights education, job training and retention, substance abuse services, computer training, education, and affordable housing advocacy.
The Villages are neighborhood-based collaborations, and their mission is to serve the diverse residents of Visitacion Valley with a continuum of critical services for families. These services encourage and support individual and community growth by providing access to opportunities.
Based upon a commitment to meaningful partnerships, The Villages effectively model cross-community cooperation for all Valley residents and are poised to make significant contributions to thousands of lives and to the rebirth of this historic neighborhood.
The Village is comprised of the following community-based organizations, working to create long-lasting positive change in Visitacion Valley:
